| The ZEUS range of teasers are machined out of our nearly indestructible 125mm Pro-Range material. The heads alone weigh about 5.5 lbs and are nearly 5" in diameter. Available in three head shapes at present - ENKI, DRACULA and BASILISK - all Zeus' are actually split into two pieces. The head is hollowed out, which not only allows for a massively re-inforced stainless eye-bolt through the nose for towing (no worries about chafe-gear with this thing), but also means you can put INSIDE the head anything you want - chum, rattles, ball-bearings, flotation, extra weight, sponges frozen with blood and oil, even sonic transmitters. You can also fill the cavity with foam if you wish. The plastic eyes are attached with stainless-steel bolts and ny-locks. The skirts are attached to the shoulder which is threaded and screws into the head, locking the skirts into place. This allows for quick skirt changes after the inevitable wahoo !! Those of you who have handled the Pro-Range material already will know how slick it is - it is all but impossible for a fish to grab hold of this thing, unlike a soft head which it can then take away for 400 yards (don't you hate that ?). These teasers are deliberately made large for the same reason - so it is very difficult to eat.The ZEUS pictured above is ENKI, and all heads are available in white too, "Hawaiian style". Since these teasers are all machined, there is room for customer input too should anyone want a different style of head - be it a cupped face lure or a more traditional plunger-style. Talk to us ! This particular teaser is one you will be able to see fish on unlike a fender teaser, and all the head-shapes can be retrieved at trolling speed. Anyone interested in having one of these things should contact me pronto as the lead time is not instant ! Whilst we won't put a life-time guarantee on these things (makos, killer whales, volcanic lava flows and propellors at 2500 rpm will obviously do their worst) we do expect these teasers to be buried with their owners. They're bullet-proof. We're not talking moulded cheap plastic here - this material has been pressure-tested to 20,000lbs per square inch with very little deformation. I suspect they would take a chip out of a prop ! Two people have also already asked for their ZEUS' to be lures, not teasers, which is the next natural progression, I suppose ! |
